The medical term for the process of removing dead skin cells from the skin's surface is desquamation. Exfoliation is the general term for the process of removing dead skin cells, and can be achieved mechanically or chemically. These cells would fall off naturally after a while but a scrub or chemical exfoliant can clear them away and improve your skin's appearance. Exfoliation can be an important step in any skincare regimen.
By sloughing off the dead cells on the uppermost layer of your skin, it can help our skin feel softer, smoother and more radiant looking. Often exfoliation is too harsh and can leave the skin feeling tight and irritated. The key is to avoid compromising the skin barrier for enhanced long term results. Introducing our new chemical exfoliating Multi-Acid Peel AHA Exfoliating Solution. Our milky liquid format fits perfectly into any skin care routine for application directly on clean dry skin. Formulated with our multi-acid complex including 15% glycolic, phytic, malic, mandelic and lactic acids along with enzymes, to boost surface renewal, smooth the look of pores and fine lines and brighten overall skin tone. Added squalane helps soften and hydrate skin.
With any new skin care product introduced into your routine, starting slow and monitoring your skin reaction is key. In the case of a chemical exfoliant, the strength of the acids can dictate skin type use as well as application use. Not all skin types can use chemical exfoliation formulas so we recommend confirming with your dermatologist as needed and patch testing for initial observations.

Additional benefits of the Multi-Acid Milk AHA Peel for the skin:
Exfoliation:
The visual part of the skin we can see is called the epidermis and the very top layer is called the stratum corneum. It’s made up of numerous layers of dead skin cells. These cells are constantly sloughing off and are naturally replaced with new ones. A complete cycle of cell turnover takes about 28 days when you are younger. As we age, the turnover process slows, and it can take 45 days + to complete. With the manual process of exfoliation we can contribute to the process of shedding or removing topical dead skin cells from the top layer of our face and/or body. Exfoliation can be done in a variety of ways. If performed with a scrub or mechanical tool, or with a medical procedure like dermaplaning, it’s referred to as physical exfoliation. If performed with a solution that contains keratolytic materials, it is commonly noted as chemical exfoliation.
Refines Texture:
We strive for smooth and even skin complexion to enhance our visual presentation and prepare for cosmetic application. Having a smooth texture conveys a healthy skin barrier and a more youthful appearance.
Brightens:
In skincare terminology, the term “brightens” conveys a visually enhanced complexion tone. Over time with aging, environmental concerns, diet, stress, etc. our skin can become dull looking and less radiant. By combining ingredients to renew the surface layer of the skin, we promote not only an even skin tone but an enhanced overall radiance.
How to Use the Multi-Acid Milk Peel AHA Exfoliating Solution
When incorporating our AHA exfoliating solution into your routine, we recommend starting slow with just one application a week to introduce to your skin and allow for monitoring any initial skin reactions. After successful incorporation without any issues, you can accelerate to two times a week or more as needed.
Our Multi-Acid Milk AHA Peel is designed specifically to enhance your skin care routine so it’s key to monitor your own individual reaction and base your application on initial results and maintenance. With any chemical exfoliation, it is critical to incorporate a sunscreen application for daytime in order to protect the fresh radiant skin you are revealing.
PM Application recommended. Apply once or twice a week nightly on clean dry skin. Shake well. Begin with clean, dry hands and dispense a few shakes directly into hands and apply to the face and neck. For ease, you can also dispense the liquid onto a cotton pad. Gently pat or swipe on skin where benefits are needed avoiding any sensitive areas like around the nasal fold.
Do not rinse.
Follow with your favorite hydrating serum or moisturizer/cream (night). Follow with a hydrating serum or moisturizer/cream as needed. Alternate application as needed with any active serum while monitoring your skin reaction.
Our recommendation is to skip any active retinol application on the night you use our Multi-Acid Milk AHA Peel.
